Buying from abroad: this Japanese-market deck runs on 100V. On 110–120V mains you need a suitable step-down transformer; on 220–240V mains, a heavier one. We advise the right size for your country before you order.
Shipping: the exact insured rate is calculated for your country when you request a quote — nothing to pay until the total is confirmed in writing.
About this deck
The RT-3150 is from Sharp's Optonica line — a silver-faced deck badged “electronic tape processor” on the front, with the Auto Program Locate Device (APLD) transport keys, a blue LCD counter display and twin VU meters. The rear carries the original Sharp rating label: 100V, 50/60 Hz mains and a battery compartment for two UM-3 cells.
The photos on this page show the actual unit on our bench — front panel and controls, top cover, rear panel and label, and the foam-packed carton. For condition details, availability and price, ask us on WhatsApp or by email.

A closer look
DISPLAY & VU METERS
Blue LCD counter, twin VU meters
The display section pairs the blue LCD time/counter window with analogue VU meters. Around it: the second-counter and tape-counter keys, input level sliders, a microphone input and the recording-bias and EQ trims.
TRANSPORT KEYS
Auto Program Locate Device
The silver key row runs pause, record, APLD review and cue, stop and eject — with the “Auto Program Locate Device” trim along the cassette door. The timer switch at the left edge lets the deck start and stop on a clock timer.
RATING LABEL
Original Sharp label, rear panel
The rear panel carries the SHARP OPTONICA RT-3150 rating label (100V, 50/60 Hz, DC 3V battery compartment), the Dolby licence note, line in/out RCA jacks, a DIN socket and the AC outlet for other components.
PACKING
Foam-packed for the journey
The carton and white foam shown in the photos are how the deck travels — same packing approach we use for every deck we ship worldwide, insured and tracked.
